Dr. Elena Rios is the President of the National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF) where she works to improve the health of Hispanics across the United States. Dr. Rios also serves on numerous boards and committees including the Better Medicare Alliance and the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda. Previously, she served as an advisor at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and worked in the White House as a Coordinator of Outreach Groups for the National Health Care Reform Task Force. Dr. Rios has served a foundational role in advancing Hispanic health and in 2009, was listed as one of the Top 100 Influential and Innovative Hispanics by Hispanic Business Magazine. Dr. Rios graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Human Biology and Public Administration and later earned her MSPH and MD from UCLA.
